Had my first flat.

Took the XJ out for a 100 mile ride tonight and the last bit was spent riding through downtown Denver in the rain and dark. The last few miles before getting home, I noticed the bike feeling squirly when I'd turn and tracking the lines in the pavement more. Figured I was just being conscious of road tracking because of the rain. When i pulled into my driveway and put the side-stand down, I noticed the bike was sitting much lower than usual. Looked at the rear tire and it was flat and had un-beaded itself on the right-side. God knows how long I rode it flat, maybe a mile or more.
What surprises me, the bike never felt much different running on a flat tire.
And of course, I am ordering a new rear tire as I type this. I found what looks like a giant staple smack in the middle of it.
