YZF600 Front End Swap

Looking at the prices of FZR components, I have to wonder; would it be cheaper to retrofit a set of R6 forks & triple for a front end swap? What do you all think would be required to fit the YZF front end to the XJ? Any idea if the steering stem lengths are the same??
