OK to mix brake pads?

I just got my R6 calipers in from Ebay, and the seller sent me different ones than were in the pictures, and the ones he gave me have near brand new Sumitomo GG pads in one caliper, and worn out Sumitomo GG's in the other. I have been looking for some new Sumitomo GG pads for the one caliper, but short of going to the dealer (since I believe sumitomo was the stock pad), I can't find them for sale.
So my question is, is it OK to use the Sumitomo pads in 1 caliper, and a different brand GG pads in the other caliper? I wouldn't think so because you could have differential braking force between the 2 sides of the wheel.
What about if I mixed 1 sumitomo pad and 1 other brand pad in the same caliper? Seems like that would be better, and I'll just have perhaps differential wear.
