Broke down and bought new carbs

Well I finally determined that the cracks in the brass plugs were the root of all my problems. I JB welded them and it ran great until the JB weld broke loose, luckily I got it before it came completely off and fell into the engine. I found a used set of carbs on eBay, cleaned em up, switched the jets, set the float heights and put em on. It took a while but I got her running, just not extremely well. Check temps, tweak screws, go ride, check plugs, check temps, tweak screws... My only problem now is iratic idle. I think at this point I got her running well enough that I'm just going to take take her to the local shop and have them do the fine tuning.
