Starting help

Guys, need your help, 1994 Yamaha XJ600 SECA, put in a new starter switch, new starter solenoid, it will turn over when I ground the blue wire to ground but not using switch. Tested the kick-stand switch and the neutral switch and both are good as are fuses. Only turns over when I ground the blue wire?
Did not know there was a clutch switch and will check with multi meter and there is never any clicking so I think its the relay, really appreciate the help!
