Set those float heights

I must admit, three years ago when I went through the carbs on my '92, I didn't touch the float heights. I figured that, well, the bike runs, they've gotta be right. A few days ago, I did a valve adjustment, carb sync, A/F adjustment and decided to set the heights while I'm at it. They were all about 1/4" low, using the wet-method. I got them up to about 7mm below the line and wow, the bike runs so smooth now and the power feels like it's there from 2k up. I don't know why I didn't do this before. So, folks, set your float heights:
Yamaha spec is 6.2 to 8.2mm (0.24 to 0.32") from the top of the float to the gasket surface, when setting them on the bench, or 4-6mm (0.16" to 0.24") when doing them using the wet method.
