Bike leaking oil... curious and need help.

So I noticed here recently the bike is slowing leaking oil and I have been smelling a burning smell.
I believe its leaking from (on a car its the valve cover gasket) *insert part name* and you can see some small bits of oil on top of the block.
Are the gaskets hard to change? Also I know the oil is leaking from here so could it be from anything other then the gaskets?
To change the gaskets what all is needed parts/tools wise?
Just for future references I met up with some buddies for a ride this weekend and was riding the bike... let's just say really hard lol. That's when it really starting leaking more oil then normal.
