Hi all, I've recently picked up a neglected 1997 XJ600N for cheap and am catching up on maintenance items and generally checking things over (thanks to all contributors to this forum!). The common problem of petcock / carb float valve failure concerns me and I wondered about adding a 12V solenoid fuel valve in-line in the fuel feed to the carbs - something like this:

As mine is a '97, I can simply piggy back a supply for the solenoid from the electric fuel pump supply. Just wondered if anyone has done this, or can think of any reason it wouldn't work??
