Dies in idle, 2000 rpm when warm

Hi,
I have a problem with my xj600 51j from 1987.
The bike starts but goes down to under 1000 rpm and then dies. I need to have a bit of throttle to keep it alive for like 5-10 minutes until it's warm, then it keeps running but goes up to 2000 rpm and stays there .
Anyone that can push me to the right direction?

Previous owner has renovated and cleaned the carb about 8-10 months ago. Changed leaking hoses and synced them.
Before I had problem with starting it without start gas but now i've been starting up the bike every day and now it starts on full chocke only. But can't figure out the idle problem.
I've been trying to set the idle but can't get it to settle between 1000 -2000 rpm. It's either 1000 or 2000 rpm.
