XJ600S float height specs > Bike not running as it should

Hi all, hope you guys can help me. On my European, I live in the Netherlands, 2000 XJ600S I have a problem with accelleration. It’s just not smooth.
Overhauled the carbs but now I’m looking for the float height. For both bench and wet settings. Haynes manual isn’t very clear. It’s specified but I have some serious doubts due to the text in the chapter not matching the used method and specs. Also doubt if this is for the correct model year.
Haynes says:
Bench 8,8-10,8
Wet 8,5-9,5
I have used the search option but could not find the information I need. Only for 1992-1998. Sure hope someone has the information I’m looking for and is willing to share it with me.
