Custom airbox

Hello everyone I am brand new to this forum. I own 2 xjs first is an 81 xj550j maxim and second is an 82 xj650j maxim. I am wondering if anyone has had any luck making a custom airbox for the 4 carb rack? I want to keep the jetting stock and because these carbs are constant velocity pods just dont work well with stock. Any ideas would be appreciated. Example pvc tubing connecting all four carbs to 1 pod filter? If anyone has tried this let me know thanks.
