Hello!
After lurking around for a while I thought it was time to register and introduce myself.. I'm Gwen, 28 years old and I just bought my first bike a couple of months ago. I have had my license for a couple of years and rode a bunch of bikes from friends but never got around to buying one until recently. I mostly ride in my spare time for fun.
I got myself a '92 XJ600S. It's run 66k kilometers so far, runs fine and the PO started a naked conversion. What they did isn't really my taste so I'll be doing some work on it. I'm a complete newbie to anything mechanical so I'll be using the resources on here a lot! Here's some pictures how I bought it:

I've already done some small things; gave it a thorough clean, replaced the air filter and installed a new speedo and headlight. I've also moved the horn and cut off some excess tabs.

And i'm currently vinyl wrapping the fairings and gas tank. Next order of business is changing out the other fluids and replacing the fuel hoses and filter and cleaning up all the wiring.
I'm really excited to learn more about this and so grateful for the time you guys took to write all of this stuff down!
