Cold choke start issue

Hi chaps, recently bought a 98 Divy 18,000 miles which had been previously garaged by it's owner.
Riding in the rain and keeping it outside has exposed it's gremlins.

I repaired the common blue/white wire ignition circuit issue which occurred for me whilst checking and oiling all electrical conectors, and I have also changed the front wheel bearings - So far.

The bike even with these issues was starting and running fine - So at the mo I'm ruling out shims.

However, whilst fixing my previous issues I noticed 1) A loose airbox which is supposed to be screwed down onto the carbs ( Meaning, the airbox just lifted off), a loose airbox funnel fixture and a broken pipe - All which I have tightened and fixed.

Now I have to start with full choke while giving it a little throttle to get it to start.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

PS: It warms up pretty quickly after 15 seconds or so, then runs fine.
