Hi from Wales

Hi all,
Been riding for a few years, although haven't long passed my main test and have finally upgraded to a 600cc. Bought a 1998 XJ600S the other day which is just having the final touches done to it at the garage.
I get a lot of time free as my job involves working with the Schools, so whenever they are off I am off (8 weeks paid holiday, yes please!
) and have been known to do 2000 miles a month on a 125cc ... God only knows how much higher it will be on the 600.
I also live in a very rural landscape, with plenty of smaller villages and small towns scattered around - and the nearest big town being a 45 mile ride away .... We are often referred to as being "in the back of beyond" as there is us, the sea, then Ireland about 50 miles away!
On the other hand, we do have some absolutely fantastic biking roads down here, and some stunning scenery ... But if you really want to get anywhere then you have to be prepared to do some proper mileage.
I forgot to mention at the top, but my name is Nathan, and I'm fairly short ... 5ft 6 with a 28" leg ... I've had to get the Yammi lowered as can't get my feet on the ground enough
