Front brakes

Hi !
I want to change my front brakes on my 98's XJ 600 (2 disks)
2 options :
1- change the calipers only ( http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Yamaha-R6-R1-XJR ... 51b1a3b74e )
2- change the entire brake system (http://www.ebay.fr/itm/2000-Yamaha-YZF- ... 4612c1f6cf )
Is it possible on my bike ? I saw that most of the forum said that a fzr600 front replacement would be necessary to do it. I don't understand why (sorry).
