Anyone ever seen this paint problem before?

So it's just rained for like 70 hours straight and I've just gone out to the bike and the tank is fooked!
White dots all over it! It's actually alot worse than the pics show.
It wasn't like it yesterday, only seems to have happened in the last few hours of rain.
The bellypan and front cowl are fine, even though they where the same paint, prep, vinyl and lacquer!
I'm going to try polishing it out then re-lacquering first rather than stripping it all.
But anyone take a guess at what caused it or had it happen to them?
