Newbie from uk

Hello there, just bought a xj 600 as my daily ride, did own a mz rt 125 but just struggled on motorways so sold it and got this xj 600 for 500quid, 1998 model. I ride the zx7r in spring/summer shown in pic and spent a lot on it.
now here is the xj 600, i have bought new modern mirrors for it and a tank pad(got a rack and top box on way to)i have sprayed the horn bracket and resivour cover(thats hold front brake fluid)black also. it has a full stainless steel nexxus exhaust system that will be up for sale as it sound standard and far to silent for me(any takers?lol).
It is nippy and comfy and love riding it but i have a HUGE issue, under the seat near the light a puddle of water holds there, even if its rained and stopped so i am asking is this normal?or am i missing something??
