Left Side R6 Caliper

Anyone know, per chance, if the LH front caliper for an R6 will work with the stock XJ fork and rotor? I know, I know, I have a bike with R6 calipers in the garage, I can just measure. And I will do that, maybe, but I thought I'd ask first.
With the 5/8" bore SV650N master cylinder on my '97 XJ600, the front brakes feel blocky. I was thinking the extra pair of pistons in the R6 caliper might work well with the larger bore master. Thoughts on that, provided it'd bolt up??
