engine ticking and rattling

Hi All,
I own a 1996 XJ600 , bought with 10000 km on the counter and at 13000km now in less than a year. I use it a regular commuter and try to service it myself so I love to read all the tips and trick on this forum. Thanks to all of you for sharing experiences and giving me more insight on how my bike works/runs.
BUT
Recently I came to a point where I can no longer avoid some ticking and rattling sounds coming from my engine and as I'm looking for the solution I hope you can help me look in the good direction.
2 sounds :
1. coming from the left side of the engine . A rhythmic sound that gets harder when the engine gets hot.
I already removed the cam chain tensioner , was ok and working properly and reinstalled it. So I think that can no longer be the issue.

2. a clutch rattle which disappears when I pull the clutch. I already did the dowel fix.

I also did a carb balancing and set stationary RPM to a good level.
I hopefully anyone of you can point me in the right direction as I'm getting worried there will be engine damage when I use it even longer.
I plan to service it again in a few weeks as I want to service the fork so all tips are more than welcome as I still have to order all parts
