Hi Forum!

I'm in Dorset, UK. A fantastic part of the country, I'm pitched up on the southern coast nr Bournemouth. I have been a biker (on & off) since the age of 18, I'm now 51 and have just aquired a 95 (I think) XJ600N.

After a lot of recent web searching I kept returning to this site which I must say has some awesome threads & write ups, you guys love your XJ's! This forum is just what I need to get to grips with my new project bike. So here I am ready to take the plunge into the world of seriously modding a bike.

The reason I'm not sure of the bikes age is that bike is still with my work colleague. He acquired it from his son in law who swapped the bike for some new tyres for a second bike. My colleague was going to take his test, clean up the bike and use it, but he has never got round to this and the XJ has sat under a tarp for the best part of 2 years.

It needs some TLC, but in the main it looks to be in good condition, 32,000 miles on the clock, :?: and screaming out to be ridden again. I took some pictures but neglected to get the reg to confirm its age. I need to arrange to get the bike picked up and brought home which will happening in the next few weeks, so in the meantime I need to research and buy bits 'n' pieces for the beast...

It's good to see such a wide range of nationalities on the forum, I hope to be able to make some more contribution in the near future.

All the best.
