Crab swap UK model on seca ii????????

Need some advice from all you xj gurus out there, is there any way that the "Australia,Canada and UK 92-95 year model carb be able to be used on a 96 US seca ii model bike? Or would one have to have the Fuel solenoid valve and other parts to make it work on the 96 seca ii ? has this ever been done successfully if at all possible with out it being a pain in the keyster? Thanks for the help and advice in advance
