My name is Viktor, I'm from little north European country called Latvia.
As soon as I decided to purchase XJ from my uncle (who decided to sell it, as he got another bike), I started lurking xjrider and buying various parts online. I'm not very mechanically inclined but I've done some basic repairs on my car and I think I can pull off XJ naked conversion. Why naked conversion? Well, I think big old round headlight makes the bike look classic and timeless. Also, a lot of you guys showed me that by doing so the bike looks pretty cool.
I've got my motorcycle license in the fall of last year, so I'm a newbie in this field but still in this short period of time I've developed an addiction for riding a bike. Or it might started long before when I was kid riding a bicycle. For now on Xjrider might be my panacea for winter time and a guide on various "How to's". Thank you guys for sharing info, this looks like a really nice community!
I will start posting my progress as soon as the temperature in my garage will be bearable to start work on my XJ naked conversion.
Heres how XJ looked when I got it. I asap removed those stickers someone long before had put on.
