Hey everyone,

So now that my bike is running I am pretty happy lol. Planning on getting a new set of tires soon, and getting the tags and what not so I can drive it on the roads instead of just by my house dodging the cops lol.

I read about the 4k roughness and seen a few post on here about it. So I know that the bike is supposed to get rough.. but how rough? My entire bike starts vibrating REALLY REALLY bad between 4-4.5k(Havent gone higher kinda scared to), also the bike sounds horrible... kind of reminds me of the sound my car makes when its starting to top out or something. Very fast and loud revving basically (like a drastic change from 3.5k to 4k in the sound of the engine and the vibrations as I mentioned are horrible...

So my question is: is the bike supposed to feel and sound like this? Does it smooth out any above 5k rpms (as far as vibrations and what not)?

Another note: My step-dad told me today when he help me find the fairings for the bike(it was his bike and he took them off before he stored it) that the bike has a tendency to throw the chain if you rev the bike to high. He didn't tell me how high and with the bike vibrating like that it kind of worries me. Also, he has changed the chain on the bike, but he has never changed the sproket on it.

Any ideas on how to keep the chain from popping off? He said once it pops off it will get caught in the sproket and lock the back tire up (im guessing hes had it happen in the past).

As always, I love and appreciate all the help I can get! :D
