Hello all from California.

Just picked up a brand new to me 1994 xj600sfc and got it on the cheap mainly due to a badly slipping clutch. Other than that, it runs solid. Showing 17k miles on the odometer. It doesn't have any cowlings except for the front and the windshield is cracked, looks pretty mean like this. Looks like it was originally yellow but the whole thing has been painted glossy black. Previous owner had the carbs rebuilt and installed #20 jets already. Has a new battery, brake pads... this thing is almost good to go!

Already replaced the friction plates and springs, and luckily avoided a small catastrophe while tightening the pressure plate screws back down. Got a little cockeyed and snapped the head right off of one. Thank god the stub came right out with a little coaxing. Already got the screw replaced and now I'm just waiting for the crankcase gasket to finish the job.

I found the forum while looking for a way to jack this thing up and get that rear tire off for replacement. Still don't have a good idea on that, those headers are just right in the way. I was thinking making to jack it up by the center stand holder and maybe get some jack stands on the frame some how.

This is my first streetbike but I rode a lot of dirtbikes growing up out here. Can't wait to ride this girl, she looks like fun..
