A few moments ago, I sat here writing up a detailed response illustrating how to check continuity on safety switches. This is something that, for me, comes as second nature, like walking or breathing. I just know how to do it.

It occurs to me, though, that most don't have that knack. As I was writing up the response, I had to include comments on how to use the multimeter. That gave me an idea. We need a section on The Wall showing how to use basic motorcycle related tools and give some indication as to what tools a beginning motorcycle mechanic should need and use.

So to that point, I'll create a new sub-forum on The Wall. But I need your help in determining which tools we should cover and then, helping me write the how-to guides for using those tools.

For tools/usage, I'm thinking:
  • Multimeter
    Torque wrench
    JIS screwdrivers
    Carb Synchronizers
    Common socket set
    Common wrench set
    Hex-head tools
    Tire pressure gauge
    Wheel balancers
    Drift/punch set
    Body hammers/dolly
    Jumper cables
    Soldering iron
What other tools can you think of, that we should write-up basic function and usage for? I plan to do the write-ups in detail and geared to the absolute novice; someone who has never picked one up before (like my brother . . . ).
