I am going through the checks in the Haynes manual and after warming up the bike today, by leaving it to idle for about 15min, I checked the temperature of the exhaust pipes from each cylinder just above the first bend.
The results were:
C1: 300 F (160 C)
C2: 530 F (278 C)
C3: 514 F (268 C)
C4: 350 F (140 C)
It seems to be a large difference but the bike does not sound too bad in my ears.
The surrounding temperature was 32F. Could the difference be caused by the two outermost pipes being more exposed to the cooling effect from the surroundings, or do I need to synchronize the carburetors?
