Thank you for voting my Seca 2 XJOTM!
I bought the bike to learn how to ride motorcycles and have a winter project, with a way to save on gas in the summer time and I feel that the Seca 2 will be perfect for that. I am thinking about getting more of a sport bike in the future, but I think the Seca is a great bike. In the process of learning the mechanics of motorcycles, I am also trying to make the bike fit me a little better and update some of it's older features to make it a bit easier to ride. Picked it up for just under $800, the chain was about to fall off, needed a new rear rotor and pads (metal to metal), tires were shot, and the rear engine bolt head had sheared off and the bolt would walk out and block the rear brake lever. The carbs were so far out of tune that it was a 3 cylinder engine for most of the ride home. On top of all that, I bought it on a really cold day and tortured my buddy by making him ride it 40 miles in 30 degree weather on the highway (I didn't have my endorsement yet) but we got it home and I began working on it.

I hope the info I post helps people out if they are new to XJ's, as I just learned as I went along, and got a TON of info from this site!
I hope to have a lot of fun with my Seca, and go riding with members of this forum soon!!
