Hi all, I'm having an issue and could use some help!
On my way home from work the other day my 94 XJ600 got harder and harder to shift, to the point where it finally got stuck in 2nd and I just rode it home the remaining 5 miles or so in 2nd.
When I got home I checked the clutch free play and chain tension and those both seem fine. When I first arrived home I tried shifting the gears when stationary without the clutch and I was able to shift, but it was difficult. Also, when stationary I can engage the clutch and the engine revs without moving forward.
I'm at a loss for where to start to look and am looking for some guidance.
