Hi!
New to the forum and new to bikes!
I've recently bought myself an xj with the plan of turning it into a cafe racer whilst I learn and take my test. I've stripped all of the fairing and I'm looking for advice on seat choice. Being new to all this I'm looking for the simplest flat cafe racer/brat style mod I can find.
Also... Whilst stripping the headlight frame with an angle grinder (fixings were to corroded to undo) I managed to catch the main ignition wire. Spliced the wire back together, but the bike won't fire up. I reconnected the gauges and lights come on so there is power going to it so I'm confused as to why it won't start. Like I said I'm new to all this so apologies if I'm sounding incompitent! Any help much apreciated!
