Needle and Seat Questions

Hi everyone, I ordered a needle valve set from Jets R Us for my '92 with the part number 1FN-14107-12-00, which should be the correct set, but the seat I received wasn't the same size as the one it was replacing, and wouldn't fit into the carb. Does anybody know if I ordered the wrong part, or just received the wrong part? This is my first time working on a bike in any capacity so it's very possible I made a mistake.
