Just got my 92 seca ii two weeks ago for $400. It was in bad shape and didn't run. I didn't know if it would even turn over but I took the risk and it's starting to pay off. After cleaning out mouse nest from the air box, cleaning the carbs real good, New battery and spark plugs, plus filling the cylinders with two stroke oils to some for a few days she came back to life. Ran like a paraplegic person with asthma at first but after the valves work back into shape she started to purr like a kitten. After a good days worth of tinkering I deemed she safe for the road and took her for a test ride. With ice patchs still on the road I found a clean strip to twist my wrist and I was shocked at how smooth the pick up and quiet the pick up was. It was like flying 3 feet off the ground. After reaching about 85 mph and ice patches appearing out of nowhere I called it a day. Next day we got 3 inches of snow and it hasn't left yet. Dam you Vermont weather! Done a bit more work and now can't wait for the next ride! I plan on going naked with her but due to $$$ in parts I ready ordered and parts I still need before I get her inspected I will be rigging something to cover up that ugly front end. I have already learned a ton from XJR and look forward to using it to help me build a sweet looking seca ii. She needs some TLC but I've had worse.
