Chinese Motorcycles - Would You Buy One?

I have been trying to get my younger brother into riding for a while now and have him committed to signing up for the MSF course in the spring. When the time comes, we plan to get a pair of 250cc dual sports and set out in search of adventure in the Colorado back roads. I have been following XT250's and TW200's on CL for a while now and they hold their value so well.

I came across an ad for a Chinese 250cc dirt bike. Looking at the photos, the thing looks like a copy of a KLR250. They are under $1600 new, shipped to me.

So the question is, would you buy one (and forget about that Yd2 already; it doesn't have a title)?
