I'm Dave from Essex in the uk.
Thought I'd join the forum after owning my XJ600S for a week now.
I bought this as my winter commuting bike due to A. Difficulties in parking by my work. B. The ease of commuting by bike rather then car and C. Not wanting my other bike, vn800 to start getting ruined by the rain and salt on the roads.
It's been a real pleasure to ride so far and the weekend just gone was spent adding some extras and giving it that personal touch. The previous owner had started to street fighter the bike and I have to say not really to my taste and I will need to at some point replace the clocks and headlight.
The bike came with a Kappa top box and bagster tank cover and bag which was one of the things that drew me to this particular bike as those where things I wanted to add and knew would cost the most. It also came with a nexus exhaust and chrome engine guards. Both of which will also need some attention.
I have also added;
r&g bar ends
r&g hot grips
sw-motech 25mm bar risers
12v socket and 5v USB port
Inforad speed camera kit (which I had from a previous bike)
GPS cradle (from previous bike)
Oxford battery charger kit (again spare from an old bike)
Just waiting on the Hawk alarm system to arrive and then electronically that's it!
Few other bits is like to do but they can wait until the new year.
