Hi all, long time enthusiast, first time poster!!

I am in the finishing stages of working on my 2000 XJ600N, bearings front and back have been done, new chain sprocket and dampers on the rear wheel. both front calipers overhauled and working lovely now.... ( the little buggers seized and threw me off the bike last Nov...oops) new swingarm bearings and currently waiting for bleed nipples for my rear caliper because some heavy handed bugger sheared them off :???:

So, to that end i have recently replaced the clutch friction plates, as well as a new thrust washer as the old one was nicely chewed up with rollers everywhere. But the silly question is when i put the clutch cover back on, the gears on the pull rod to the clutch release spindle..... is there "correct" position for the arm coming off the spindle to be in? like when i take the tension onto the thrust bearing should it be pointing in any particular direction? I would hate to box it back up and fill her with oil to have to take the cover off again to adjust it

Sorry for the long post. Any advice?
90% of Bike issues can be solved by removing the Loose nut between the handlebars and the seat.
