Hi there all,

I went to change my spark plugs today and thought before I did that that it would be a good idea to check my compression. I had started it up this spring once before and took it out for a ride already. So I pulled off my plugs and this is what its showing.

#1. 20
#2. 130
#3. 130
#4. 130

Now I understand that even 130 is a bit on the low side but 20......how can it even run with that sort of compression in one cylinder? Haynes Manual lists possible causes starting with cylinder head not being sufficiently tight to head gasket issues to warped head to just plain worn/broken piston rings or a broken piston or possible valve issues. With one being THAT low, what do you guys think?

Anyone here have any luck with those oil additives that supposedly restore low compression? I really don't want to be pulling this engine for a top end rebuild!
