You may have seen me make a intro and a picture post, or if you haven't, why then hello again!

Anyway, on my 94 XJ-600s I have cleaned and synced carbs, and other engine issues sorted but the problem I'm having a little trouble solving is my indicators and running lights. My friend who owned the bike previously bought a replacement flasher relay but still didn't solve the issue. But a flasher relay from a 97 model will work but only when it is spliced into another wire, such as the high beam headlights, but that will cause the bulb to burn out, I have replaced the h4 already so I have to figure out something more permanent. And as another issue the battery will go below the voltage it needs to start after 12 hours of nothing but just sitting. So is this a faulty replacement relay, or a wire that is grounding or just bad somewhere, I don't see any problem toward the front of the bike so I believe its a bad wire toward the tail light if that's the case. Any idea's?
