Why are parts so expensive?!?!

So question.... Why are the smallest parts for this bike so expensive?!?!?! The nipple for the carburetor is broken on my bike and I need to replace it but the part for it costs like 36 dollars.... ITS PLASTIC!!!.... I was wondering if anyone out there had a spare one of these parts... The part number is 3LN142510000. I would GREATLY appreciate it if someone was able to lead me to a cheaper cost of this part or would like to sell their's. Thanks for the help guys! God bless.
