Need help with starter relay.

First off I don't even know exactly what this is but it vins a 96 xj 600 seca 2. Its heavily modified. I am just trying to figure out if I have a starter relay out. I have checked to make sure my start button functions with a multi meter, have a good battery at high 12s, checked my grounds, but am confused. I can easily start the bike by jumping the solenoid. It has two 4 gauge wires and one 12 ga remote wire. One 4 ga has power. Nothing changes when applying the start button. Also I have tried with kickstand up and with the clutch in.
