Mikuni BDS26 main jet o ring question

Does anyone know the proper placement for the main jet o ring in the mikuni bds26 carbs? When I took mine apart the o ring fell out of the bottom of the main jet holder. I just want to make sure I put the new ones in the correct place. Does it go in the middle of the main jet body before I screw it back in to the carb body or does it go in the top of the main jet holder before I screw in the main jet? Thanks.
