I a completing a budget naked conversion and have run into a snag. For idiot lights I wired some leds from Radio Shack in a small project box, and I'm using a Trail Tech Vapor. Everything is working smooth (tach is a bit jumpy) but I have a problem with my turn signals.
I took both wires from the original turn sig lamp and connected them both to the + side of the led and grounded the other. I thought everything was working fine until I caught my reflection in the car in front of me and realized that when I turn on either signal they both flash (looks like hazards).
My plan at the moment is just to buy another green led and and run each wire from the original lamp to its own + side of an led and ground the other. This should (I think) give me separate indicators for left and right. Am I correct?
