Welcome to XJRider! Congrats on the new bike!

In theory, yes, that Koso should work. It's a universal design, and it includes the speed sensor, so you should be able to make it work. In the Q&A, someone asked if it would work on a '82 XJ750, and they said it would, and included a link to the installation guide.

A couple others have used Koso gauges before:
