So Had the bike outside the other day in the sun and turned and noticed a nice size wet spot below the bike, it smelled like gas. I though maybe it was because I had a rubber stopper in the tank instead of the gas cap, I was trying to let the clear coat I put on that area cure a bit more. This morning went out to start the bike and I had what seemed like fuel pouring out of the holes in the bottom of the right side exhaust all over the garage floor. Pulled the tank and the airbox, the float levels where a bit high so I adjust them to a lower position. When I put everything back together I had the bike running outside of the garage and all of sudden it started to run rough and feel like it was dying. I gave it a bit of gas and then noticed I had a fluid that was pouring out of the drain tube in the airbox. It felt like oil but had a gassy smell a bit.
So I have no idea what the heck is going on, I'm leaking gas, I have oil getting into my airbox or something that feels like oil. I really am at a loss on this one. The floats levels seem good, I replaced all the o rings in the carbs 2 years ago.
Just a thought as I'm sitting here, I did pull the float seats to inspect the little screens when I put in new Float needles, maybe I pinched an o-ring or something?
Any ideas on what I should look at would be great.
