This thing was rocking back and forth. New bearings needed asap. So i ordered some and they arrived so quick they must've known about it happening...

So this morning i finally got the chance to replace them, spindle comes out, wheel backed out. This just drops out.

A nice looking pile of shagged metal and balls.

Now the outer race was just stuck in there..

With the strongest weld known to man. 17 year old rust. I doubt these bearings had ever been changed. The next 2 hours followed with a wide range of vocabulary expressed. After much blow torching, and a can of shock penetration spray and a wheel on fire. A screw driver and Thor's own hammer whacked that mother$%&£er out. The other two smaller bearings were equally rusted in. SO more banging got them out!

Jesus. The relief i got from seeing those bloody things out of the rear hub. I need the bike for monday morning as i'm off on a site survey for my job, has visions of me never getting these out!
Had put the new bearings in the freezer before installing them, so they literally just popped in, plenty of grease. This thing now rolls like a beauty
