So a couple of weeks ago I used some BBQ spray paint to paint my exhaust manifolds. The paint held up pretty good but the main thing is I did not take care of the pitting in it so its very visible. We are currently going through a really cold spell so I figured that I would try and fix the pitting once and for all. I'm currently sanding off the paint and trying to sand through some of the smaller pits but what can I do for the slightly larger ones? I've been reading about JB weld and was wondering if I could mix some of that up and cover up the pitting that I can't sand out, then sand that flush? I also saw a couple of videos on Utube of people soldering aluminum rods onto metal. Would that be a feasible option (solder the aluminum, let it cool then sand it flush)? Thanks for your help guys.
