Hi folks, I'm a new rider hailing from Portland, Oregon. I picked up a '94 Seca with a little under 20k miles on it in mid August and have ridden it about 1,000 miles so far. After a valve adjustment and some fresh oil it runs strong and is a real joy to ride. It does need some more work done in the future (which is the main reason I joined the board, to gain some technical knowledge). The clutch cable needs to be replaced along with the kickstand sensor (I can only start the bike in neutral, the starter and solenoid are not the problem). Over the winter I hope to do some cosmetic work to the bike and give it more of a cafe look with a new headlight and set of gauges. The previous owner included a set of 4-1 headers and a Yoshimura slip-on pipe, but I have no intention of installing them to be honest.
Here are some pictures of the bike when I got it:
And as it is now:
Also pictured is my beloved Mazda RX-7, which is part of the reason I bought a motorcycle. I needed something else so I can keep the miles off the car (and also get around when stuff needs to be fixed on it, which is always! :laughter: )
Thanks for reading my intro thread!
