cost of going naked/ new paint

Hi, I am about to buy ny first motorcycle and I am stuck between two choices. The first is a faired bike that will need new paint. The second is a naked bike that was recently painted. The second bike is 400 dollars more ( and has 5000 more miles ). I like the naked look of the naked seca II an was leaning in that direction. Would Ibe better finacially buying the cheaper bike and having it professionally painted and converted a naked, or is the 400 hundred dollar difference worth it from the start? Thanks
