Had an interesting day. Let me tell you about it. First off as some of you know, I'm a new rider. I love my XJ but I have two issues with it up until today. My friend and I successfully swapped out the forks that have been giving me problems for too long. Then we tried to find the source of the electrical problem which some of you have helped me with. Lately I've had to recharge the battery every few days. Today with a voltage meter we tested the alternator And noticed its drawing too much energy when the motorcycle is on. I'm not sure it's the issue but I'm leaning towards swapping it out. Afterward I rode back to my place and the new forks made it felt like a brand new bike. It was great. Since I'm new to riding I've have yet to work up the courage to go on the freeway, no matter it was a great ride and I feel my rode skills are getting much better. However when I got home I was backing into my space on the street and I neglected to put it in neutral. Well just as I was backing it to the curb I popped the clutch by accident and then while recovering I twisted the throttle and lost control of the bike and well it seems I broke my foot. The bike obviously took a tumble too. I'm back from the ER now so I have not been able to assess the damage to the bike. Some of the stuff on the handle bars got shock out of place. The rearview mirrors are history and some of the engine fins broke off. A small amount of oil dripped while the bike was down out but it was only a few drops and stopped leaking and have no idea how serious it is. I have no idea if there's anything else wrong with my baby and my mobility is going to be an issue for the next few weeks. It went down at low speed so I'm hoping she's going to be okay.

So when I'm up and around I want to get this alternator thing out of the way and patch the rest of the bike up.
