I recently did the pine-sol soak and replaced the pilot jets with 20s since my XJ took forever to warm up and would frequently die at low rpms. I blew compressed air through everything, bench synced the carbs with bbs, and put everything back together. She starts up fine with full choke and revs to about 4k rpms but dies with no choke. On half choke she fluctuates between 800 and 3000 rpms. I used an IR thermometer just to see what the temps were and 1 and 4 are at like 700 and 2 and 3 are at 270. I set all the mixture screws to 2 1/2 turns out. Is it normal for there really to be that much variation or do I need to tear through my carbs again or consider an electrical problem? Any insightful guesses are welcome
