I thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself here on the forum.
In 2003, I decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle. I ended up buying a 1992 Seca II. It was in pretty rough shape, both mechanically and aesthetically, but I had remembered seeing them on campus when I had been in college in the mid-90s, and I liked them quite a bit.
Here it is back in 2003:
I cleaned it up a bit and learned how to ride on it. My plan, at the time, was to buy a new sport bike after I got the hang of things on the Seca. Well, my plan ended up getting accelerated when I found the sport bike I really wanted, a 2003 Yamaha R6 in a paint scheme that was limited to that model year. So I bought it only a month or so after buying the Seca II and ended up riding it most of the time.
The R6 was a fantastic bike, but the lack of comfort and the fact that I started a family ultimately led to me selling the R6. I've always missed that bike, but I convinced myself I'd whip the Seca II into better shape and have fun with it. I ended up having some issues with the Seca II, so it isn't running at the moment, but I've just embarked on a mission to address that. I think it's mostly carburetor related. I'm probably going to have some questions for folks here, but I'll save those for the troubleshooting forum.

I have to say I was very excited to discover this forum! I've only been looking at it for the past day or so, but I've already learned quite a bit. I'm looking forward to getting to know the folks here and hopefully getting my Seca II back into better shape!
