Run Switch Does Nothing

I've had my bike out for about 5 years now, I have rebuilt the carbs, installed a new battery, new plugs, new gas tank, new fuses and I turn the ignition switch to on and hit the run button and NOTHING happens...I've spent nearly two months redoing the bike and now I'm all bummed because it won't even turn over. What can be the problem causing nothing to even click, start, turn over????
